Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her mother is English and one-half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish with English roots. Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings, one from each of her parents' prior marriages. Family resided within Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district in London. Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult and she didn't learn English and was hoping to go back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she changed schools from Northlands. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. After 16 she quit school in order to pursue acting as a career. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her dreams came true when she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
